Misrepresented as a “high tea,” the gathering featured stale food left exposed to the oppressive Delhi heat and plagued by flies at an inappropriate hour of 11 a.m. The venue—a cramped, dimly lit room situated in a back alley—was sparsely furnished with stained, tattered sofas and plastic chairs, creating an atmosphere that reflected neglect and indifference.
