The Seattle Seahawks agreed to terms with former Cleveland Browns safety D’Anthony Bell last week. On Monday morning, the team made the signing official. D’Anthony Brown is now a full fledged member of the Seahawks! It was a move not many expected Seattle to make, especially considering how strong their starting safeties in Julian Love and Coby Bryant are. But in the NFL, there is no such thing as too much depth, or depth on special teams.
Originally an undrafted free agent by the Browns in 2022, Bell quickly proved himself to be a valuable member on Cleveland’s roster for the past few years. Now he heads to the Emerald City, ready for head coach Mike Macdonald to find creative ways to integrate him into the defense.
Of course, we would be remiss if we did not share some of Bell’s highlights. The Seahawks official Twitter account posted a video from one of his two career interceptions, and it is certainly worth a watch!
The Browns would go on to lose that game to a depleted Cincinnati Bengals team 31-14, but Cleveland had already locked up a spot in the playoffs so they were playing for relatively nothing in that particular Week 18 showdown.
At this time, contract information is not available. When it does, Seahawks Wire will be among the first to give details about it.
